For this item, I imagined what underwater sea creature would make an awesome pet if you could carry them around everywhere and then created an adorable/bubbly version of that concept. This would definitely be perfect for underwater oceanic outfits, but also, pretty much anyone could incorporate it into their avatar. Even if you're not a fairy mermaid princess, this little creature would make a great addition to your character haha. Might consider making a butterfly variant to give it more of like a pixie aesthetic vibe... hmmm. We'll see!
