Black Roman Hamata Chainmail Waist

Hamata was a type of Roman chainmail armor made from interlocking metal rings, typically iron or steel, woven in a 4-in-1 pattern. It offered flexibility and mobility, covering the torso and sometimes extending to the shoulders. Worn over a tunic, it protected against cutting and stabbing but was less effective against crushing blows.
