A "man catcher" is a fairly generic term for any number of weapons designed to pin down and apprehend targets non-lethally. This specific example has a spring-loaded door, which will allow something to be pushed inside of it, but not escape easily. This design was used for attacking cavalrymen, and thus has spikey prongs -- if you were apprehending someone without armor, you wouldn't use this kind!

Of course, ROBLOXians don't have necks, so this is all pretty moot.
