Dragon full-back

The exact origin of the dragons is unknown. They are believed to be Akatosh's children. Alduin, the self-proclaimed "Firstborn of Akatosh," is considered the first dragon. They were once widespread in Tamriel and ruled over humans at the end of the Merethic Era until the War of the Dragons. Their spoken language can be articulated to use powerful magic known as Dragon Cries, derived from the power known as the Voice inherent in all dragons and their kind, the Dragonborn. Many considered dragons to be nothing more than a legend for most of the later history of Mankind, when they reappeared in Skyrim with the return of Alduin, the Devourer of Worlds.
