Muramasa Sword

Muramasa" is the name of a representative school of swordsmiths from the Muromachi period to the Sengoku period, or of swords created by that school. Muramasa was also associated with the death or injury of warlord Tokugawa Ieyasu and his grandfather, father, and son, and thus came to be called "yokuto Muramasa," or "the demon sword Muramasa," and was whispered of as being possessed by its owner. 「村正」は室町時代から戦国時代にかけて代表的な刀工一派、またはその一派の作成した刀の名前です。 また、村正は戦国武将#徳川家康やその祖父、父、息子などの死や負傷にかかわっていたことから、「妖刀村正」と呼ばれるようになり、持ち主に祟りがあるなどささやかれるようになった。
